Books are being printed and will arrive mid-April

Hey, people!

My apologies for the lack of updates—with all of the difficulties and delays we have experienced, I wanted to ensure that my next message had exact dates to expect your books and maps to be delivered. I made several mistakes and layout errors, and there were communication problems with my printer, but all is now fully on track.

The books are being printed as I type. All 1,000 copies will be on a ship from Taiwan shortly, and that ship takes 5-6 weeks to get to America. I am expecting to have them in my hands in mid-April and will begin shipping them immediately, with Kickstarter backers getting their copies first. Maps will ship with the books, as will character portraits.

Thank you all for being patient with us as we wrote, designed, laid out, and finalized the first book any of us have ever worked on. We learned a LOT and are already writing the first adventure within the world we have created called The Cult of Siffor. We will be sending discount coupons to all of our backers for our next project as a thank you for your support.

As soon as everyone has their books in hand, we'll start rolling out the higher tear rewards. Those who got NPC naming rights will see their characters starting to appear in Season 5. Those who secured online workshops are getting a real treat—Carlos and Patrick from The Dungeon Rats will be joining DM Aram as we talk about character creation and world building. We can't wait to speak with all of you!

You have and continue to make Godsfall possible. Thank you all very much for changing our lives and allowing these stories to continue. The second we have the books in hand you will get another update and we will continue to keep you updated as the books are shipped out.

The Godsfall Worldbook is ready to print

Hello, people!

The Godsfall Worldbook is through the final editing pass and ready for our printer. They are checking it now for any print errors, and once we get the go ahead I'll have a clear date of when we can start shipping the books out to all of you.

In the next week, you all will be getting early access to our BackerKit sore to finalize your pledges and update your address. You will also have the opportunity to upgrade your pledges at the original Kickstarter prices. Once you have approved your details, the .PDF version of the Worldbook will be emailed to you. I'll update the Kickstarter as well to alert everyone to look out for that link.

This has been quite a journey for me. It is fair to say that I completely underestimated the time and effort it takes to write, design, and layout a book of this size and detail. I learned InDesign and then proceeded to create and trash two layouts designs before I settled on the final design. I adapted story elements that I never planned to write out into hard math (The Bridge, Divinities, etc). I commissioned amazing pieces from some truly wonderful artists. I healed my back only to come down with acute rheumatoid arthritis overnight.

Aside from that last bit, I wouldn't change a single thing :)

I have many, many more things planned for the world of Godsfall. Carlos Luna (who is joining the cast as Pera) from the Dungeon Rats just helped us record the first eight episodes of Season 4. I cannot wait for you to hear what we have planned next.
